The NBA has had a lot of changes over the last few years, but the league’s best teams are still there.
Here’s how the best team to be a part of these years’ playoffs will look like.
The Lakers: You’ve got to love the Lakers.
They’re the defending champion, and they’ve made a lot in the past two years.
With the All-Star break in sight, they’re the only team in the Western Conference that’s guaranteed at least two playoff berths.
They’ve got a superstar in Kobe Bryant, and a team that could be in the postseason in a few years.
That’s the most fun the NBA has ever had.
If they’re going to go to the playoffs in 2021, they better be in shape.
Cleveland Cavaliers: LeBron James and the Cavaliers are the best basketball team in all of Cleveland.
They have a superstar (Kevin Love) who could potentially be the best player on the planet in two years, and the most talented team in basketball.
And they’re loaded with talent.
If Cleveland makes the playoffs again in 2021 — and I don’t think it’ll happen — I’d be all over them.
Dallas Mavericks: They’re back.
They still have some holes to fill in their roster, and some of those holes are obvious.
But Dirk Nowitzki is still one of the most feared players in the game.
He’s still a force to be reckoned with, and his shooting has never been higher.
The Mavs are the biggest wild card in the league.
Phoenix Suns: They’ve added a lot over the past few years: a young and talented point guard in Goran Dragic, a dynamic scorer in Devin Booker, a veteran and capable defensive force in Gerald Green, and one of my favorite wing players in Devin Ebanks.
They’ll have the best chance to make the playoffs this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the top three of the West this season.
San Antonio Spurs: Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili, and Danny Green are all elite players who are going to make a huge impact this season and in the playoffs.
I think they’ll be OK, and maybe even contend for a West title.
Golden State Warriors: They have the biggest shot at making the playoffs, and it could be because they’ve added some of the best players in basketball: Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, and Klay Thompson.
I’d still be surprised if they don’t make the Western finals, and if they do, I’d like to see more of the team develop around the perimeter and play with the ball.
Atlanta Hawks: I don
