How much does video games cost?
That depends on where you live, and the average cost per game in each state.
If you live in an area where video games are popular, that could make a big difference, but it also depends on what you play, and how you choose to play it.

We’ll start by looking at some basic costs for the top 50 games.
The costs are in dollars, and we’ve grouped them into six categories: video game consoles, handheld gaming devices, computer games, video games and software.
The total for the Top 50 games in each category are then grouped by state, and those games come out to a total of $3,077.
The next four games are all for mobile devices, but that’s the least common of the five categories, as the majority of mobile games are aimed at children.
