The first round of the 2015 MLB playoffs is upon us.
Let’s take a look at the first round matchups for the second and third spots.
The Yankees beat the Reds and Tigers to advance to the ALDS for the first time since 2005.
Here are the games in this round: Yankees (45-42) vs. Red Sox (46-40) at Yankee Stadium (Sunday, 1:05 p.m.
ET) The Yankees are off to a hot start.
The Red Sox have lost two of their last three games, including the last two at Fenway Park.
It’s been a pretty ugly season for Boston, and now it’s time to turn it around.
The Red Sox will be hoping to rebound from their first loss of the season in Game 4, which came in Boston on Tuesday night.

The Rays have gone 0-4 since returning to the majors, but that didn’t stop them from winning their last two games.
This game could be a shootout between the Rays and the Yankees, and the outcome will determine which team wins it all.
Bats and outfielders are playing great ball.
The Rays’ first baseman, David Ortiz, is hitting .344/.419/.580 in the last three weeks, with four home runs and 17 RBIs.
They’ll have some extra firepower behind the plate as well.
They have a number of young, talented players, and they could have the best lineup in baseball.
Tampa Bay has a chance to win this series, but it will be a long night.
The Braves have won four of their past five, and with Atlanta’s bullpen having been shut down for the past four games, the Braves will likely be out in the first two innings.
Detroit has won four straight at home, and in the process, has been a dominant team in the series.
With the Red Sox dominating their series, the Tigers should be able to beat them without much trouble.
There are plenty of reasons to love the Tigers this year.
They’re young, fast, and talented.
What will happen in Game 1?
The second and final round of this series will be played on Sunday, which is usually the last game before the second round of playoffs begins.
But that’s not the case this year, as the second-round game will be moved up a day to Sunday, making it the fourth day in a row.
Will this be the final time the Red and Blue teams play each other?
This could be the last time the two teams meet in the postseason.
